Program settings

In the first option you can select the language of Montax Imposer and font size for user interface. Changes will take effect after the program is restarted.

The date language allows you to set the appearance of the date and time in which it appears in the sheet description, as well as in custom objects (in text when using the date symbol). You can specify a custom date and / or time format using symbols when you select the Customize option. You can change this format for use in individual text objects. See program documentation for detailed format information.

The following option is to select units which will be used throughout the whole program. Units can be set separately for sizes and for lines width.

Option "On startup" allows you to customize the program depending on how you want to use it. You can select one out of three options in "On startup":

  • Create an empty imposition
  • Set appearance of the last opened imposition without loading its pages
  • Continue working on the last opened imposition including pages that were opened in it

Furthermore, it is possible to set whether Montax Imposer should ask to save an imposition when it is closed .

Note: Deactivating Ask to save when you close the imposition is only recommended if you do not save imposition – When an imposition is not saved while closing Montax Imposer it will be lost. On the other hand if opening the last used imposition is selected, deactivating this option can be useful – You do not need to worry about saving your imposition and Montax Imposer will start right where you left.

In the next option you can select new imposition appearance (for example when clicking "New Imposition" from the menu). The options correspond to the ones on the Imposition Presets Palette. The way in which sheets in Booklet style impositions are filled can be set – pages can either be oriented in the same way or their tops together (for cross-fold). You can also select marks setting used for the new imposition (previously saved on Marks Palette). It is possible to use an active imposition (or previously saved template) as a new imposition layout (in this case, marks setting is also used from this imposition).

Clicking the Restore all dialogs button will make dialogs and messages that were previously marked as "Do not show again" appear again.

You can also set the number of undo steps and turn on/off the context help, animation of palettes movement and imposition preflight before PDF export. The last option can be used to set whether the name of the used template will be a part of the automatically generated imposition name.

Settings of the page Export Options:

You can select to which folder will be exported the output PDF. You can also select, if the output PDF will be opened after export and in which application.
