Navigation

The navigation bar under the work area shows the displayed sheet of an imposition and also makes it possible to select one. It also contains buttons to move forward/backward, to the beginning/end of an imposition and to the first/last sheet of all impositions (only when multiple impositions are used). The number of sheets in an imposition is also shown and when multiple impositions are used the amount of all sheets in all impositions is shown in parentheses. The Colors button allows the user to change colors of the work area and in the Pages for Imposition Palette. A control checkbox enabling and disabling page preview is found on the left side. The next option is displayed only if rulers are visible and it can be used to hide lines on the work area. Next to it is an animation indicating if the previews are finished or if they are being generated. The following indicator – green or red – shows the status of files used in the imposition: green indicates that everything is OK. Links to files are checked periodically in the background. If the number of pages or their dimensions is not changed, links are updated automatically (if necessary). If the number of pages or their size is changed, the indicator is red and you can update links manually by clicking on it.

Only in the version with Variable Data Printing Extension: if variable data are used as a name of PDF or image (PDF option on the Info Palette in mode Variable Data, Numbering & Custom Objects), links to files from these variable data are also checked. If any file is not found, the indicator is orange.

Only in ProHot plug-in version: Letter "H" indicates the state of watched folder function: Green color means that all folders are ready to be imposed automatically and dark red indicates an ongoing hotfolder imposition. Dark green means that data are currently copied into some of the m-in-name folders and Montax Imposer is waiting to start imposition. Red color is shown if some of the watched folders is not working or there was a serious error during the imposition (file could not be saved etc.). Click to H clear this error indication.
